Zhongli's Talents place an emphasis on his Elemental Skill. See which Talents will best build Zhongli for your Genshin Impact team.

Genshin Impact: Zhongli Talent Guide | TechKnow Games

Zhongli has authority over Liyue, the land of contracts, as the Geo Archon. He will also be offered for rerolling alongside the new character, Tighnari, just in time for Sumeru. Since Zhongli has been around for more than a year, any player with access to Liyue may easily find his Talent materials.

He needs the Weekly Boss drop from Childe - Tusk of Monoceros Caeli to level up his combat talents. The Teachings of Gold series, which can be found at the Taishan Mansion on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, is also something Zhongli needs.

Combat Talents

Rain of Stone – Normal Attack

Zhongli is now able to launch his Normal Attack in a series of up to 6 blows. With a fantastic spear kick that sends his polearm spinning into adversaries, he finishes off a string of Normal Attacks.

Zhongli's spear attacks from above while teleporting a short distance thanks to his Charged Attack. By doing this, you can block some strikes at the expense of stamina.

Upon hit, his pinning attack deals with AoE DMG. His second passive talent, which scales based on Zhongli's maximum HP, provides an advantage to all three.

Dominus Lapidis – Elemental Skill

Zhongli's Stone Stele is produced by his Elemental Skill; yep, even this eccentric pillar has a name. If the maximum number has not yet been achieved, Zhongli will build a Stone Stele if you possess his Skill. This can mean one or two Steles; the second one will only show up if Zhongli's C1 is engaged. Zhongli also creates a Jade Shield, deals AoE Geo DMG, and, when appropriate, drains Geo from up to 2 adversaries. The final effect mainly affects foes with a Geo shield, like big Geo Slimes. But it can also be used for incredibly speedy mining.

The Stone Stele constantly provides AoE Geo DMG while in play, which interacts with other Geo structures. For this reason, Geo Traveler and Zhongli complement each other so well: Stone Stele resonates with Traveler's meteors, allowing you to quickly travel through Geo. Steles, like the Electro waves the Electro Hypostasis likes to deploy, can be climbed and used for defense against attacks.

Finally, the Jade Shield is also affected by this Talent. If you despise damage, you'll be protected for a long thanks to its 150% DMG Absorption against all Elemental and Physical DMG. Enemies in a small AoE that are shielded by the Jade Shield will have 20% less physical and elemental resistance.

Planet Befall – Elemental Burst

Out of nowhere, Zhongli summons a massive meteor that deals Geo DMG to enemies inside its area of effect and grants them the Petrification condition. Opponents are immobile for a short while petrified. Unfortunately, Petrification has no effect on most bosses, however, Planet Befall can deal a lot of terrible damage. You can obtain big numbers if you like them.

Passive Talents

Resonant Waves – 1st Ascension

The Jade Shield is directly impacted by this talent. The Jade Shield will fortify after suffering damage. Shield Strength receives a 5% boost thanks to the Jade Shield's Fortify. This boost can stack up to 5 times and lasts until the Jade Shield evaporates. It's both highly useful and extremely pointless. Usually, you don't really notice a change until the combat is over or the Jade Shield vanishes.

Dominance of Earth – 4th Ascension

Zhongli does extra damage dependent on his maximum health when he activates the 4th Ascension. This is the skill that most players base their builds on, and it's also the reason why, with enough effort, Zhongli can be made into the main DPS. Zhongli's attacks are all impacted by the Talent.

The DMG of Zhongli's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks is increased by 1.39% of his HP. When you put Zhongli in T-pose and produce the Jade Shield, Dominus Lapidis' Stone Stele, resonance, and hold DMG increase by 1.9% of Zhongli's maximum HP. Finally, 33% of Zhongli's maximum HP is added to Planet Befall's DMG.

Arcanum of Crystal – Utility Passive

Utility Passives are immediately available as soon as you acquire the character because they activate instantly. 15% of the ore that Zhongli used to make Polearm weapons will be returned. When making Polearms with the Raiden Shogun, you can spend less on ore and Mora. If you find that you are out of ores for weapon enhancements, it can be useful.
